STAMPA, the Irish National Stamp Exhibition, will celebrated its 45th anniversary in 2017 with a return to the venue at Griffith College, Dublin. This will be the second exhibition at the new venue, following on from last year’s great success.

If you collect Irish Stamps or if you have an interest in Irish Philately, or stamps and philately in general or even stamp competitions, then this is the show for you. The original show was held in Ireland House on St. Stephen’s Green in 1972. Over the past 45 years, STAMPA was held in various Dublin venues, including the Royal Dublin Society (RDS). From 2016 onwards, we moved to Griffith College. We have been very fortunate to have secured an historic location that will also allow us book the following years so far in advance.

STAMPA 2017 will be held from 06th to 08th October and Stampa 2018 will be held from 05th to 07th October.

You are invited to participate in STAMPA 2017 or simply wander through the dealers stands and competitor’s displays, which will feature stamp exhibits, National and International and An Post. A set of three philatelic souvenirs are available exclusively to Stampa members and, in addition, there will be a public souvenir for sale at the show, with specific limited edition postmark cancellations for each day. These items are not available from An Post.

Further details are included in the ‘Souvenir Page’ on this website. A set of three An Post postmarks were also be available – one for each day of the show.

A major feature of STAMPA has always been the display competition. There are many classes in which exhibitors can enter whether novice or advanced – see the Awards and Entry Form pages for details. For Stampa 2017, we will add a new POSTCARD class.
