Membership closes on 31st December 2022 and only 600 sets of souvenirs will be overprinted. To obtain an acknowledgement of receipt of your payment, please enclose a SAE (or IRC). Souvenirs and Awards Dinner tickets will be sent out in late September. Forms should be returned by 5th September in order to obtain the souvenirs, etc., prior to the show.
PUBLIC SOUVENIR AND EXHIBITION POSTMARKS
The public souvenir will be a special Cinderella item which reproduces facsimiles of the four original definitive designs in miniature sheet format. Note in the absence of a special stamp from An Post to mark the centenary of Irish stamps, this is a must have for Irish collectors. Illustrated on the home page.
Note that this is not a postal item and is not valid for postage. It can be purchased with membership. Additional copies of this item can also be purchased. Price per sheet is €5/Stg£4.50/US$6.
There will be a special postmark for each day – “Centenary of Irish Stamps” (7th October), “Centenary of Saorstát Éireann” (8th October) and “50th Anniversary of Stampa” (9th October). A fourth postmark with a Dun Laoghaire cancellation of 8th October will commemorate the departure of the plenipotentiaries from Dun Laoghaire to London on 8th October 1921 for the Treaty negotiations. The set of 3 illustrated covers and one maximum card @ €20/Stg£18/US$24 (including postage) will be sent out separately approximately 3 weeks after the show – see order form. A catalogue will be included with cover orders.
We also have an An Tostal postcard from An Post (2½d stamp of 1953) with centenary stamp and matching cancel of 22 April (day of issue) @€5/Stg£4.50/US$6.
Covers and postmark illustrations will be included on the website by end August.
